Rdio, the digital music service app that is available on both iOS and Android, has announced it’s personalized streaming stations are now free on mobile for all iOS and Android users. All users are invited to listen to all of Rdio’s stations, with a library of over 20 million songs, at no cost even those who’s subscriptions have ended. They have also announced two new features to the app. Station Sharing, share any song, station, artist even genre via facebook and Twitter (Google+ was not mentioned). Playlist and album stations, which is self-explanatory.

“Station plays are up over 50 percent since our launch in August,” said Drew Larner, Rdio’s chief executive officer. “We’re excited to make one of our most popular features available to everyone for free, forever.”

We think this is Rdio’s response to the growing competition in the digital market from the likes of Spotify, Pandora, Slacker, iTunes, Google Music and a host of others. At any rate, you might want to check out what they have to offer, afterall, it is free.
