So redditor LaFeiro is reporting that the new Google Now update will respond to a variety of phrases to wake it up, including Tony Stark’s OK Jarvis. It is also being reported that OK Jarvis will work with Google Glass. Here’s part of the original post over on reddit, hit the links below to go to the original post.
I don’t know if this works with the Moto X, but it definitely works with the Nexus 5 and the Note 3. For me it works as well as saying “OK Google.” Just saying “Jarvis” does not work, unfortunately.
Edit: A lot of users have posted other phrases that work well. I’m not sure if this was an update to Google Now or what, but Google Now definitely seems to be picking up more phrases than I remember. Below is a list of confirmed phrases:
- “OK Jarvis”
- “Ok Computer” – works only 50% for me
- “Hey Google”
- “OK Phone” – works only 50% for me
- “OK Hugo”
