Four Awesome Must Have Photo Apps For iPhone

|
,

One of the most basic functions of any good smartphones these days is the camera. I don’t know the statistics but I’m almost positive that there are more smartphone pictures and video taken then there are point and shoots or DSLRs. So with so many smartphones out there, it stands to reason that some of those users might just be looking for an app to give their memorable moments a little artistic boost. So here’s four must have photo apps for your iOS device.

Snapseed

Snapseed is the brainchild of Nik Software, which was purchased by Google a little over a year ago. Nik not only offers Snapseed but it also offers a lower cost (compared to Adobe’s Photoshop) photo editing program for desktops. Nik Software is also used in Google+’s newest photo editing features. Snapseed offers an array of different tools from Selective Adjust, Cropping, Tune, Straighten and Detail. Also on board a good amount of filters to give your images just the feeling you want to give them. Within each tools and filter there are sub menus you can access by sliding your finger up and down on the image. The tutorial that fires up when you start the app for the first time, is well worth following and paying attention to. Snapseed is a definite pick up, you can find it on the App Store for Free. Just hit the App Store logo below.

Mextures

Mextures is an overlay photo editing app that allows you to apply a variety of textures, light effects, gradients and other effects to your photos. There is a nice variety of them available as well as user defined presets. You can also make your own presets and save them. The nice thing about Mextures is it works in layers. So you can apply the filters you want in layers. Since I am a Photoshop user this really suits me well. I love using Mextures to give my photos a little character and it’s great for that rustic look as well. It really is one of the must have photo apps on iOS. You can find it on the App Store for $1.99, just hit the App Store logo below.

Bokehful

Bokehful is a really nice app for adding nice bokeh’s to your photos with a touch of your finger. You have a choice of round, stars, hearts and hexagon shaped bokeh’s as well as the strength of the bokeh. There is a color wheel with swatches so you can choose the colors of your bokeh and you can adjust the gradient as well. And if you happen to make an error in application, you can always use the undo button to erase your error. This is a definite must have if you’re a Bokeh fan. You can find it on the App Store for .99, just hit the App Store logo below.

Fragment

Fragment is all about adding some very cool shapes over your pictures. This is one of those very artsy and imaginative camera apps that might take a little thinking out of the box to use. The UI is very easy to learn and the amount of things you can do with it are just amazing. There are various shapes you can use and various ways to manipulate those shapes within the photo. This app probably isn’t meant for your family pics and probably isn’t for the average joe looking for simple edits. Fragment is for the lover of art and abstract things, and that’s awesome because I love this app a lot. A total must grab at .99, hit the App Store logo below to get your copy.
