Italian consulting company SET Solution really wants a 13″ iPad running a combo of iOS and OSX. They want it so badly they’ve made their own concept of what such as beast would look like. The video depicts a 13″ iPad with impossibly thin bezels and even a home button with TouchID. It’s shown running OSX with a touch interface, SET’s dream of the long rumored iAnywhere perhaps. Although Apple has already said they integration or combination of iOS and OSX is not a goal that Apple is looking towards, one never knows what could happen. A 13″ tablet with a full OS doesn’t appeal to me personally, but there seems to be some who do have an interest in a machine like this. Apple is looking to expand and offer new products and new categories to enter due to their stagnant US growth this past quarter. Maybe this is something worth considering alongside the wearable’s, medical and auto categories they’re courting.

Whatever happens, SET Solution really created a nice concept of what an iPad “Pro” could look like. Personally I’d take the MacBook Air over an iPad Pro but again, not everyone’s needs or wants are the same. So let the dreamers dream, maybe their efforts will spark Apple to pursue a project like this. What do you think? Is a hybrid OS from Apple something you want to see? How do you use your tablet? Is 13″ too big? What, beyond portability, is the advantage of a hybrid OS on a tablet? Let us know what your thoughts are down below in the comments or over on Google+, Twitter and Facebook!
