Lumosity, the brain training game for iOS, has finally come to Android adding to its over 50 million users total. Lumosity has been on iOS for some time now and has been extremely popular (rated 5 stars on the Apple App Store). According to Lumosity, the game is played by over 50 million users from 182 countries. By making an Android app, their numbers are sure to grow even further.  Even if you’re not an iOS user you’ve probably heard of Lumosity from their various television commercials. There’s nothing magical about the game, it’s a basic quiz/puzzle game that just happens to be very challenging. Lumosity describes it best in their App Store synopsis.

Lumosity is designed by neuroscientists to train memory, attention, and more. With foundations in the study of neuroplasticity, Lumosity games have improved working core cognitive abilities in several research studies.

Lumosity is free to download and free to play to a certain point. In order to unlock all levels and all games there is a subscription plan. That will cost you $14.99 a month or $79.99 a year. With those subscriptions you get all the games plus any updates and upgrades.

While Android has made some awesome progress in the apps market often times developers still develop for iOS first then move into Android. As Android continues to grow and penetrate the market even further, we’ll hopefully see that change. For now it’s great to see extremely popular iOS apps making their way over to the Android platform. Check out Lumosity for Android at the link below, just click the Play Store logo.
