Xbox Website Updated With Xbox One Profiles, Game Clips, Achievements

As we covered earlier, one of the elements missing from the Xbox One launch was inclusion of Xbox One profiles and achievements on the Xbox.com website. Last month, Xbox rolled out a preview of the new Achievements interface on the website, this week the Xbox website updated the Achievements and Profile sections of the website.

Major Nelson points out:

One of the most requested community features we’ve seen as of late is the ability to view your Xbox One data on Xbox.com. We’re happy to announce that the first of these elements – your Xbox One profile, Achievements, friends, followers, and game clips – will be viewable on Xbox.com beginning next week.

As with the Achievements overhaul, the profile pages feature bigger and bolder content and easy access to your friends list, game clips, and achievements.

Previously, you could only access your game clips through the Xbox One Smartglass app. Now all game clips – both recorded and edited clips – can be viewed under your profile on Xbox.com. The one thing that is still missing and would be a nice addition would be a web version of Upload Studio giving gamers the ability to edit and upload their game clips to YouTube.

Even though we did cover the Achievement interface preview earlier, this feature is now accessible from the main navigation on Xbox.com. Gamers – and their friends – can view all their achievements from Xbox One, Xbox 360, Windows Games, and Windows Phone Games in one location.

Clicking on a game lists achievements separated by unlocked and unlocked, and a further click on an unlocked achievement features a larger image which gamers can download for various uses.

Unfortunately, the Home, Activity, Friends, and Messages sections of the website still display the old interface and in the case of the Home and Activity sections, Xbox One activity and progress still does not show up. Major Nelson did mention though that “more enhancements, like your Activity feed, are on the way.” so hopefully the Home, Friends and Messages sections will be seeing the same updated refresh soon.

Head on over to Xbox.com to check out your updated profile and achievements or watch the video below for an overview of the changes.
