Google Announces Twitch And Other New Features For Chromecast

On their official blog, Google announced this morning that Chromecasters can now access multiple new features including Twitch, iHeart Radio, WATCH Disney Channel, and DramaFever.

Twitch is an extremely popular video platform connecting an over 60 million gamers together by allowing users to stream their games as they play, watch other people play, and chat about their favorite games. Twitch content ranges from casual gamers to how-to instructional videos to sold out stadiums of highly competitive games and gamers. The feature will be accessible via the web, iOS and Android apps.

WATCH Disney will also be available along with WATCH Disney Jr. and WATCH Disney XD, for kids and Disney fans of all ages. If you have a participating TV provider account, you can also live stream current and have access to more recent episodes via Chromecast as well.

Joining the new app line-up is iHeartRadio giving users the ability to stream the more than 1,500 live radio stations from all over the US over any Chromecast connected TV while also being able to customize their own station and listen to their favorite tunes until their heart is content.

International TV shows will be available via DramaFever, with over 15,000 episodes of shows and movies from all over the world ranging from romantic comedies and dramas to kid shows and action-thrillers.
