UPDATE: Although the account is unverified The Woz had this to say on Google+

Somebody got things very wrong. All my main phones are iPhones these days. I buy and try and carry a lot of popular Android models. But with the larger iPhones, I have little use for them. They aren’t bad. They’re just to close to my main choice in smartphones. I’ll keep my Nexus 5 because I actually like it a lot, but the Samsung and HTC phones lost their main attraction for me.

When new hot tech comes along, I like to be one of the first to try it so who knows what’s up in the coming year.

Tabloid site TMZ is generally pretty good at ambushing celebrities out in public and this time they caught Steve Wozniak by surprise. The Woz, as he’s lovingly known, is co-founder of Apple Inc, and was a close friend to Steve Jobs.

Woz is responsible for a lot of Apple’s early designs and engineering on the computer side of the business. While he has retired from Apple he has, over the years, been a supporter of Apple.

Recently he had come out in support of Android products and their innovation even carrying the devices himself. He even hinted and suggested that Apple and Google should get together to make mobile products and that those products could very well be the premiere mobile products on the market. I’ve had those same thoughts myself. Check out the video below to see TMZ ambush The Woz and hear him claim that he’s gotten rid of all his Android devices in favor of the iPhone 6 products.

What do you think of The Woz’s words here? Perhaps he was being sarcastic and playing to the camera? Or was he serious and has he forsaken his claims of liking Android to go back home to Apple? Let us know what you think in the comments below or on Google+, Facebook and Twitter.
