Stephen Hawking Vocalizing With Pink Floyd One More Time

Stephen Hawking, you probably know him best as a brilliant scientist, physicist and winner of numerous scientific awards. Now Hawking will be lending his synthesized voice to Pink Floyd’s latest album “The Endless River“. This isn’t the first time Hawking has worked with The Floyd on a project. Back in 1994 David Gilmour asked Hawking to do a voice part on their “Division Bell” album on the track “Keep Talking”. Gilmour had heard Hawking on a BT commercial that nearly made him cry and knew he had to have his voice on The Divison Bell. Check out that BT commercial below.

Hawking lent his voice to Pink Floyd using the same lines spoken on the BT commercial for their song “Keep Talking”. Check out the song below.

The use of Hawking’s voice on The Division Bell was just perfect and I can’t imagine it won’t be just as perfect on this track, which is aptly named “Talkin Hawkin”. The album is called The Endless River and will be released in November. Initial reports were late October release but that time frame has been pushed back. Stephen Hawking is a man of many talents and vocalizing with Pink Floyd is just one of them. What do you think of Dr. Hawking appearing on The Floyd’s new album?
