The smartwatch is here to stay. It will more than likely evolve as the market continues to grow, but without a doubt the smartwatch is here for a good, long while. Android Wear watches are all over the market now with Motorola, Samsung and LG all offering up something for the users to choose from. Apple’s entrant into the market isn’t expected until early 2015, and there’s buzz over its arrival.
Now Hewlett-Packard is jumping into the smartwatch with the Chronowing Smartwatch. Designed by Michael Bastian and engineered by Hewlett-Packard, the Chronowing is a departure from Android Wear and Apple Watch harkening closer to what a traditional watch looks and feels like. The design appears to be solid, sturdy and of substance. It’s waterproof and it works with both Android and iPhone devices. That’s a huge deal right there. There are three different straps to choose from and of all the smartwatches I’ve seen so far, this one seems more fashion forward than the others. Even the Apple Watch, for all their want to be fashion forward, missed the mark on true fashion sense. Battery life on this thing is also being touted at seven days, which is a huge amount of battery life and far better than any smartwatch thus far.
