Fleksy Keyboard User Breaks Own Guinness World Record

Mobile / Tech

Yes, we’re there, there is a Guinness World Record for the fastest typing on a mobile device and apparently Marcel Fernandes Filho is the owner of that title. I guess you could argue why on Earth would we need such a record, but then you could argue against almost everything in the Guinness Book. Marcel’s previous record of 18.9 seconds was set on the Fleksy keyboard so it was fitting that Fleksy was used again, this time Marcel (using an iPhone 6 Plus this time) clocked in at 17 seconds flat.

“We’re very proud of Fleksy’s involvement in helping Marcel achieve this impressive feat,” said Ioannis Verdelis, Fleksy co-founder and COO. “The speed and accuracy Fleksy provides have yet again proven world-class.”

Fleksy has also just dropped the price of its keyboard on the Google Play Store to $1.99 and it remains .99 on the Apple app store. Third party keyboards have always been a big deal on Android and now that they’re out on iOS, each developer wants to separate themselves from the competition. What better way for Fleksy to “Flex” its muscle than to be in the Guinness Book of World Records. You can find the Fleksy keyboard on the Playstore and App store links below. What do you think of Marcel’s record breaking feat? Let us know in the comments below or on Google+, Facebook and Twitter.
