The iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus are still being pressed fresh from the factory but there’s already rendering and rumors of the iPhone 7. Even more intriguing that an iPhone 7 is the latest rumor that Apple is planning on resurrecting the 4″ form factor of the iPhone 5/5s with the iPhone 6s Mini. While the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus sold millions of units there have been those who are resisting the arrival of larger screens. My own 17 year old daughter wants a new iPhone 5s rather than the iPhone 6, her reasoning being the larger device is not as pocketable as she would like.
If the rumor is true the iPhone 6s Mini (I hope the mini part is omitted) would most likely replace the plastic iPhone 5c. Reports and rumors also indicate that the 6s would have midrange specs and Apple will be dropping the plastic shell. Returning to aluminum is probably the best move if this phone is indeed coming. Other reports have the 6s being announced at the same time as the Apple Watch official launch. Apple could be on the right track in continuing to make a 4″ screen size, while most people have seemed to embrace the larger 4.7″ and 5.5″ screens there are those on the fringe that just do not want a larger screen. Apple’s research must point to those numbers being large enough to go through the trouble of making another handset.
