Those waiting for an unlocked budget Android LTE smartphone have another option as Huawei has made the SnapTo LTE Smartphone available for pre-order today, with shipping and retail launch starting next week at select retailers.
Before you get too excited though, the 5″ Android device only supports AT&T and T-Mobile LTE networks (Bands 2, 4, 5, & 12), so if you’re on another carrier you’ll be relegated to using it in GSM mode (850/900/1800/1900). The phone ships with Android 4.4 (KitKat) and features a 1280×720 display, 5MP rear camera with LED flash, 2MP front-facing camera, 2200mAh battery, 8GB storage, 1GB RAM, microSD card slot, and runs on a Qualcomm MSM8926 Snapdragon 400 Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 with Adreno 305 GPU.
The SnapTo is currently available for pre-order from Amazon.com in black or white and will be available next week at select retailers including Best Buy, Fry’s, Brandsmart USA, and various other locations as well as at GetHuawei.com.
