Search Quicker With Google Chrome For Android

|

Constantly working to try and make our lives easier and basic smartphone tasks quicker, Google has brought quick search to the Google Chrome browser for Android. No longer will you have to search from the search bar when browsing a web page, simply tapping on a word in the copy will bring up related search results.

Often when we use our mobile phones, it’s for something fast in the moment. We see a food item we can’t identify, or hear a song lyric, and want to know more—quick answers to quick questions.

So we’re bringing a new feature to Chrome—search from any webpage with just a tap. Since Chrome can see the page you’re searching from, it can give you more accurate search results. For example, just tapping on “America” on the page below shows a search about the movie “Captain America: Civil War”, not the country. Just slide up to see more information—news, cast, images and more.

It’s quite simple to use. As the example above states, simply select any word from any webpage and then slide up to see relevant search results for it. The feature is rolling out to Google Chrome for Android users over the next few days with Asian support coming soon.

Have you received the update yet? Does it work like you’d expect it to? Let us know in the comments below, or on Google+, Twitter, or Facebook.
