Verizon Now Offering Microsoft’s Lumia 735, But Only In Black

Microsoft / Mobile / Tech / Windows Phone

Not too long ago, Verizon released a Windows Phone from LG called LG Lancet. Now, Verizon is getting another Windows Phone to add to its arsenal, but this time it’s from Microsoft. Please welcome the Microsoft Lumia 735.

Once again, it’s not big high end phone for those looking for one, but it may be used as a back up if needed or bought for your child as their first cell phone. Either way, it still has some decent specs if you’re not too picky.

Specs are:

  • 4.7″ 1280 x 720p OLED touchscreen (ClearBlack)
  • Snapdragon 400 chipset
  • 1.2GHz quad core processor
  • 16GB internal storage/up to 128GB expandable storage
  • 1GB RAM
  • 6.7MP RFC / 5MP FFC
  • 2,200mAh battery (removable)
  • Windows 8.1 and most likely upgradable to Windows 10

As of right now, Verizon is only offering the phone in black. Not much of a choice, but it doesn’t look that bad in black. If the three other colors (orange, green, or white) became available it would possibly boost sales for the phone or Verizon. On the plus side, you can get Office 365 Personal for free ($69.99 value) for a year by registering the device. You will need to buy the device before 7/31/15 and download the gift app before 9/14/15 to redeem the offer. Steps are pretty simple. Download the “Office 365 gift” app and follow the instructions. Keep in mind that you will need a valid SIM card and some sort of Internet connection. WiFi would be best so you’re not using up your data allotment.

Buying the phone comes down to whether you want to put it on Verizon Edge and pay $8/month for 24 months, pay $29.99 for a 2 year contract, or pay $192.00 for full retail price.
