Xiaomi Teams Up With Uber For Phone Delivery Service

The Xiaomi Mi Note is due to be released very soon by the Chinese smartphone manufacturer and Uber is going to help them deliver the device to customers. That’s right, Uber the delivery service is kicking off this service in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. The Xiaomi Mi Note will be available for purchase on the Uber app and users need only to buy it there and it will be brought to their door. The charge for Uber deliver will be charged to the Uber users account and not tied into the purchase price of the phone.

Uber has gotten a lot of press lately due to private investors sinking in a load of money into them assuming they can turn Uber into one of the largest delivery and transportation services in the world. While places like Singapore and Kuala Lumpur are ripe for opportunity for Uber in the United States they do face heavy competition, especially from Amazon.

Xiaomi is looking to expand as quickly as possible into many more markets including Southeast Asia and India. The company is a serious threat to the heavyweights in that region like Samsung. Xiaomi is also looking to come to the United States but that is a little more complicated due to some of their designs that look a lot like the iPhone. Apple is expected to drop the gavel on Xiaomi if they enter the US market.
