Evenflo Teams With Walmart To Sell Its SensorSafe Car Seat

|

Child safety is something I take pretty seriously. With five children of my own I have used my fair share of car seats and we always research before we buy. Now Evenflo brands is debuting its new SensorSafe car seat that will sell exclusively at Walmart. The SensorSafe car seat is designed to alert parents when the car is shut off and baby is still in their seats. The reason behind this technology is to help parents avoid leaving their child in a hot car. Each year approximately 40 children die from being left in vehicles while in their car seats. SensorSafe works with the diagnostics of the cars computer and emits a tolerable tone to remind the driver there is a baby in the car.

“There are millions of cars in our parking lots every day and we put a challenge out to the industry,” said Diana Marshall, vice president for baby at Walmart. “Evenflo stepped up with a first-of its kind product aimed at vehicular heat stroke.”

The Evenflo car seat is available now on Walmart’s website for $149 and will be coming to retail stores sometime in August. Hopefully this product does help reduce the amount of heat related deaths for children.
