Twitter’s a great place to start a small skirmish or an all out war between brands and that old saying, shots fired, is applicable here. Apple’s announcement of a recall on some iPhone 6 Plus units that may take blurry photos gave Sony all the ammo they needed for their latest Twitter attack, taking a huge poke at Apple for their not so clear camera.

The tweet is hinting at the new Xperia Z5 and Z5 Compact that are supposed to debut at IFA 2015. Nothing is known about either XZ5 phone but if we’re reading into the tweet this much already, we may as well speculate that the cameras on these new devices will be killer. Sony is known for making good sensors and they supply many other smartphone manufacturers with sensors so it’s not that far of a reach that they’ve been working on upping the camera game.
While Sony isn’t hugely dominant in the smartphone market they do have a loyal following of Xperia users and are doing well enough to continue the business. It will be interesting to see the Z5 and Z5 Compact cameras unveiled after this little Twitter poke at Apple.
