UK mobile phone company Wileyfox has just launched two new Cyanogen smartphones aimed at saving users money. The Wileyfox Swift and the Wileyfox Storm will be available soon for £129 ($204) and £199 ($314) respectively. The Wileyfox Storm eerily looks like the One Plus One and also sports a “Sandstone” back plate like the One. The Storm will have a 5.5″ full HD display 20MP rear camera and 8MP front camera. Running on Qualcomm’s 1.5GHz Snapdragon 615 processor the Storm also has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage with microSD slot for up to 128GB of additional storage. Storm’s battery stands at 2500mAh and is not removable and has dual SIM slots.
The Swift is the lower end of the two with a 5″ HD display, 13MP rear camera, and 5MP front camera. Running on Qualcomm’s 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 processor the Swift has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage with microSD slot for up to 32GB of additional storage. Swift’s battery stands at 2500mAh and is removable and it has dual SIM slots.
We exist because people like you are tired of paying over the odds for mobile phones. Of being bound by contracts for phones that are past their best and of paying a premium for brands that spend a fortune on flagship stores and ubiquitous marketing campaigns.
Wileyfox adds to the smartphone micro-market offering lower priced unlocked phones to consumers which we hope will spur the larger OEM’s to drop prices and sell direct to consumers rather than through carriers.
