Shortly after Samsung’s announcement of the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 edge +, a teaser trailer came on showing a circular watch that might be the next Gear watch. Not one, but two versions of the watch, which everyone is calling the “Samsung Gear S2” might be announced at IFA in Berlin.

Both Gear S2 watches have made their way to FCC under the model numbers SM-R720 and SM-R732. The FCC didn’t go into much detail when it came to both watches, but they did let us know that both smartwatches will not come with cellular radios unlike the Gear S from last year. They will connect through Bluetooth or WiFi like many smartwatches that are currently out on the market now. There were other speculations that a third version of the watch, model number SM-R730, that FCC listed might be coming with a cellular radio in it. That means you’ll be able to leave your main phone at home and use the watch to answer calls, reply to emails and text, and browse the Internet. Remember, a sim card will be required in order to use those features. Samsung is using their own Tizen OS on the watches, so if you were hoping for Android Wear you’re out of luck.

Sony will also be unveiling some new stuff at IFA such as the Xperia Z5, along with LG and Huawei’s newest devices, Motorola with the “Droid Maxx II” (Moto X Play) and the Moto 360 2nd gen. More companies will also be there showing off their new products.

Even with two Gear S2 versions only connecting through Bluetooth/WiFi are you interested in getting one when it’s announced at IFA or are you more interested in one with a cellular radio so you are only carrying one device around?
