Just last week we wrote about Microsoft having an upcoming event on October 6th possibly unveiling the Microsoft Lumia 950, 950 XL, and a new Microsoft fitness band. Let’s add one more device to that list while we’re at it. Leaked renders of the Microsoft Lumia 550 have shown up in four different colors: black, red, white, and blue. It may not be much compared to the Microsoft Lumia 950 and Microsoft Lumia 950 XL smartphones, but the Lumia 550 might be going towards people that are looking for an affordable phone that would come with Windows 10 on it.
With the phone being affordable, you know the specs aren’t going to be wowing anyone, but the phone will come with a 4.7″ screen (previously leaked having a 5 inch screen), 720p AMOLED resolution, 8GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, 1GB of RAM, a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 SoC clocking in at 1.1Ghz, LTE support. The rear facing camera is said to be 5 megapixels, while the front facing camera will have a 2 megapixel shooter with a flash (supposedly). The renders themselves don’t show any front facing flashes, so this leak may not be true.
Now, after reading all of that, as with all rumours, be sure to take these leaked renders with a grain of salt.
With Microsoft’s event coming up in the next two weeks, would you think about using the Microsoft Lumia 550 as your daily driver or maybe even a back up phone? Let us know by leaving your comment down below, or on Google+, Facebook, or Twitter.
