Pebble put up a countdown on its website about 5 days ago and now, with less than an hour left, we might have just seen a glimpse of the newest Pebble smartwatch on Amazon.
The product description lists iOS and Android compatibility, which is pretty standard for Pebble smartwatches. Pebble also claims that the watch is the thinnest and lightest smartwatch out right now. The description also claims a battery life of two days, which might be a bummer, as Pebble smartwatches are famed for their week long battery life. The watch does seem to be equipped with some fast charging technology as the listing claims that you can get a full day’s battery life after charging it for just 15 minutes. The watch is also supposed to be splash resistant, which makes it fine for day to day usage.
Like other Pebble smartwatches, the watch is equipped with an e-paper display, which makes it easy to read even in bright daylight. From what we can see in the renders, the interface seems similar to that on the Pebble Time. Timeline, which was introduced with the Pebble Time, is also listed as a feature of this watch. The watch appears to be equipped with the standard four buttons present on every Pebble watch.
The watch is listed for $249.99USD, which makes it more expensive than some Android Wear watches like the Asus Zenwatch 2. Amazon lists the availability date to be November 10, 2015. Coming so soon after the Pebble Time and Pebble Time Steel, some fans of the Pebble brand who picked up a Time might feel a bit let down, especially since this watch looks a lot better than the previous watches, at least, in the renders.
