Did Apple Secretly Make The iPhone 6s Waterproof?

Well imagine my surprise when I woke up to a new YouTube video showing yet another YouTuber with enough disposable income to try and destroy a brand new phone. This time around, the new iPhones were subjected to a dunk test to see just how long they could stand being in the water before failure. To the YouTuber’s surprise, and frankly mine as well, the iPhones lasted a whopping hour in the water without any functionality issues. It also seems the camera was just fine as well, everything seemed in order and working 100 percent on the phones, shocking. So has Apple secretly made the iPhone 6s waterproof? Check out the video below to see for yourself!

As you can see this test is legit and the results are baffling. No where does Apple indicate that these phones are waterproof nor did they cover such a feature in the Keynote. I’ll be looking again but I see no indication of IP67 ratings anywhere in the documentation or box. Apple has been known to throw in a feature or two without ever saying anything about it but this would have been a big one to not actually mention.

No, the iPhone isn’t the first phone to be waterproof, there are many models of phones that have had this feature before it (IF it actually is waterproof). But it’s still significant if it is true and something iPhone users will likely appreciate having.
