Case reviews are a reoccurring theme here and there are no plans to ever stop doing them. Cases are something a lot of people use and we like to try and review as many as possible for you our readers. Case reviews can get difficult to write about because there’s only so much you can really say about a case. You either love it or hate it. Occasionally you’ll find a case that’s just plain horrible, thankfully none of the companies who have sent me cases fall into that category. This time I return with my Seidio Dilex Pro Galaxy Note 5 review.
Design
Squared off and semi-rugged looking with a soft touch (non-skid) polycarbonate shell the Dilex Pro is a great middle ground design. What I mean by that is it will appeal both to men and women. The Dilex Pro is made up of two layers, an inner rubber liner which they call Hexguard and the outer polycarbonate shell. They compliment each other nicely with the inner layer providing some accents to the outer shell. Overall this design is a unisex middle ground acceptable by most users kind of design, it’s nice. The metal kickstand is a nice touch though I did find it fell over on occasion as if the phone’s weight wasn’t balanced enough.
Protection
The Dilex Pro is more than nominal or middle of the road protection, but it falls short of rugged protection as well. It’s somewhere in-between middle of the road and rugged. With the two layers making up a great barrier of protection the Dilex Pro does a great job of keeping your Galaxy Note 5 wrapped in its arms. Corner protection is excellent and you should feel safe with this case on in just about any situation. The front of the case has a very nice raised lip, raised a little higher than most cases giving excellent protection to the screen when laid down. Overall this case is going to be better than normal protection for the average user and even professionals should feel good about this case. If you’re in a roughneck job you might think of a bit higher end protection although the Dilex Pro should be great even for some rougher jobs.
Value
Seidio makes excellent cases, the ones I’ve reviewed have always been great and have held up over time. Seidio’s prices are right on par with the rest of the premium case industry and their solid build and materials make this a great buy.
