LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition Has Cellular Capability

The new LG Watch Urbane 2nd edition was just announced by LG and it comes sporting full cellular capabilities making it the first Android Wear cellphone watch. This means you can conceivably leave your phone at home and still make calls and text. The watch can also play music without the need for your phone as well, which would be great for those who exercise and work out. Of course it has a fitness tracker, pedometer and timer everything you would expect a watch to have. Check out LG’s short promo video below.

The screen is a 480×480 P-OLED display and looks pretty vibrant from the video. The weather feature is nice as well, that animated weather overlay looks slick. The watch is also compatible with iOS though they do state the features are limited.

While this all looks great and pretty slick the biggest question will always be: battery life? What’s the battery life going to be like on such a small device pushing so many services? Let’s hope LG has an answer for us and maybe they’ve solved a problem that would plague such a device with as much going on as the LG Watch Urbane 2nd edition.

What do you think of LG’s new watch? Will it work? Battery life? Let us know in the comments below or on Google+, Facebook and Twitter.
