Huawei Is Giving You An Extra Year Of Warranty For Its Watch

Huawei seems quite keen to make a mark, and with the recent Nexus 6P it’s certainly in the spotlight right now. The Chinese company is now announcing that it’ll offer an extra year of warranty to users of the Huawei Watch, as long as you buy it directly from Huawei.

To qualify for this, you need to purchase the Huawei Watch from the website gethuawei.com and you need to register your watch with Huawei within 45 days of purchase. If you purchase the watch elsewhere or if you don’t register the product with Huawei within 45 days, you’ll still get a respectable 12 months of warranty.

Huawei carefully selects components to meet the highest standards on all of its devices. In the case of the Huawei Watch, we selected a battery-efficient AMOLED screen to provide the optimal display, design and battery-life experience to you, the customer. We stand by this selection and are confident in its performance today and into the future.

For that reason, we are extending the standard product warranty for the Huawei watch by 12 months, for a total warranty period of 2 years. All we ask is that you register your Huawei Watch after purchase so we can verify purchase date and provide the best customer experience possible.

The Huawei Watch has a Snapdragon 400 on board with 512MB of RAM and comes in two sizes. The Watch is also a looker, with a fully circular 400×400 display. It has WiFi support, though it doesn’t have GPS support, which might disappoint folks looking to use it for fitness. The Watch also lacks an ambient light sensor. Our own Alex Hernandez reviewed the Huawei Watch and he came away quite impressed with it, giving it a respectable score of 4 out 5. The smartwatch scored with its great AMOLED screen and its circular metal design.

Huawei is stepping up its game and is making it clear that it’s a name to be reckoned with in the smartphone and smartwatch industry.
