Google Is Giving Chromebook Users Three Free Movies

|

You get three free movies! You get three free movies! Everybody gets three free movies!! Catch is, you need to be a Chromebook owner. If you are, that’s great because you’re in luck. Google is being generous again and providing three free movies for Chromebook users.

There’s a little more to it than just using your Chromebook and thinking you’ll be getting free movies. The requirement is that you’ll need to purchase a Chromebook between November 8th, 2015 and January 31st, 2016. The limit is three movies per Chromebook purchase, and the promo codes work on the standard-def version of the movies only. It also looks like if you have multiple Chromebooks you can only redeem this deal once per Google account.

I did try it with my Samsung Chromebook, but unfortunately, I wasn’t eligible. You might be depending on the model you have. If you’d like to try and see, go ahead and try it out by visiting the Chrome goodies page. Once you’re there, choose the country you are in (this deal is available in 14 different countries), click on “Get Promo Codes,” and wait for three codes to show up. If you have a qualifying device, you’ll get your three codes. After that, head over to the Play Store and go get your movies.

The available movies that were reported can be different for everyone, but include:

  • Charlotte’s Web (2006)
  • Clueless
  • Ferris Bueller’s Day Off
  • Flashdance
  • Footloose
  • Forest Gump
  • Mean Girls
  • Mission Impossible
  • Mission Impossible II
  • Mission Impossible III
  • The Last Airbender
  • The Spongebob Squarepants Movie
  • The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out of Water

I’m a little sad that I wasn’t able to get free movies, but I ended up getting 100GB of Google Drive storage that I guess I never redeemed. Plus, the only movies I would have picked would have been Mean Girls, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Mission Impossible III.

Go ahead and give it a try to see if you’re eligible for free movies. If you are, let us know what you movies you chose by leaving your comments down below, or on Google+, Facebook, or Twitter.
