LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition Sales Stopped Due To Hardware Issue

,

LG has stopped sales of its LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition due to what the company is calling hardware issues. The only clue we have as to the problem is a message from LG to The Verge stating the watch was pulled due to hardware issues that affect day-to-day operation. Both Verizon and AT&T have stopped selling the watch and there is no word when the watch will come back for sale. There is also no word if there will be a recall of the watches already sold but we suspect that LG would issue a recall if sales have been halted, although AT&T is issuing refunds or exchanges.

AT&T is reportedly offering refunds or exchanges to anyone who has recently purchased the device, and Verizon has placed the device “On Hold,” with no pre-order shipments set to ship out.

The LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition is one of the newer Android Wear devices on the market and looks to be stiff competition for the Huawei Watch. Both time pieces are well designed and beautiful to look at and with Android Wear on board they work great paired with your Android phone. The questions for LG now are how is this hardware issue going to affect future sales, and will customers be put off by this news?
