One of the most interesting things I love about Star Wars is that the villains are just as beloved as the heroes. For example, Kylo Ren hasn’t even graced the eyes of the masses and he’s by far one of the favorite characters from the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Darth Vader has long been the most revered of Star Wars villains, and Hot Wheels commissioned Bryan Benedict and builder Billy Hammon to build a real life Darth Vader car, inspired by Hot Wheels. This thing not only really drives, but it also sounds like the Sith Lord we all know and love to hate (but love). Benedict and Hammon recently appeared on Jay Leno’s Garage to show off the masterpiece, check it out below.
The Darth Vader car is seriously cool, and if you’re any normal Star Wars geek, your geek is really showing right now. But just know that we’re with you all the way and anyone who has a problem with it can stuff it! The car has hints of the 1960’s Batmobile with the red accents and some of the body panel styling. Overall it’s a kickass design and something any real geek would love to have in his collection.
