Could the days of the 16GB iPhone finally be over? Will the iPhone 7 usher in 32GB and higher storage capacity iPhones? Best Buy is currently offering Apple’s iPhone 6 and 6s for one measly dollar with a two-year Verizon or Sprint contract. While the price ($1) of the 16GB iPhone 6 or 6s looks great on paper, buyers beware, you’ll be extremely limited on storage. By the time you get a few apps on the device and snap a live photos, you’re going to be wishing you had more storage.

Best Buy is trying to sweeten the deal even further by offering a $200 gift card if you trade in your iPhone 5 or 5s. I’m sure they’ll be tons of people rushing to take advantage of this deal. After all, an iPhone for $1 and $200 back for an old iPhone 5? Sweet deal! Indeed it is a great deal in terms of money spent and monetary value. If you absolutely need to have an iPhone and you’re OK with limited storage then this is a great deal.

Recent rumors have said that Apple is doing away with its 16GB storage option on the iPhone 7 and this could be a play by Best Buy to reduce its inventory and get people into contracts before Apple makes their move. Our advice here, don’t buy the 16GB model, you’ll be disappointed. This deal goes through Sunday at Best Buy.
