Lenovo has unveiled its newly expanded ThinkPad X1 line of computers. One of the new additions is the ThinkPad X1 Tablet with a unique Ultra Connect modular design which offers additional functionality through simple optional clip-on modules — something no other tablet currently offers.

ThinkPad X1 Tablet

As mentioned above, the new Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Tablet offers additional functionality with the Ultra Connect modular design. Three modules will allow users to expand the tablet based on their usage. For added battery life, the Productivity Module will increase battery life to up to 15 hours total; the Presenter Module includes a pico projector and HDMI port for presentations allowing the user to project a 60-inch display from 2 meters away; and the 3D Imaging Module with a rear-facing Intel RealSense camera to assist users in capturing and editing objects for graphic design & 3D printing.

The ThinkPad X1 Tablet also includes a classic ThinkPad keyboard with adjustable angles and a TrackPoint pad. Together, the tablet and keyboard weigh just 2.4 pounds.
