VizMedia is pretty well known for Anime and Manga such as Naruto, Sailor Moon, Hunter Hunter and Tokyo Ghoul. This year at C2E2, VizMedia decided to come out with a few announcements that you wouldn’t hear or see anywhere else because two workers from VidMedia were given the “okay” to provide us with some first hand looks at new things to come from the company.

Naruto

If you’re into Anime and Manga, you’ve definitely heard of Naruto. If not, shame on you. This was the first actual Manga series I have read when it first came out 15 years ago and followed it since. Same with the Anime, I’ve watched it every time a new episode came out. For those who don’t know what Naruto is about, it’s about a ninja who is an outcast in his village where he lives and has big dreams about becoming the Hokage (leader of the village). He goes on missions with his teammates and sensei and goes through rigorous training to become the best.

VizMedia has what’s called “pro books” coming out, which goes into detail of each character. Kakashi’s (Naruto’s first sensei) pro book is already out and now Sakura’s story (Naruto’s teammate) pro book will be coming out soon. The highlight of the Naruto section was the next chapter in the series, and it’s based on his son Boruto. The movie came out in theaters first last year and will come out on DVD later this year says VizMedia. A trailer was shown, but unfortunately, I was unable to record it. The Manga for Boruto Oneshot is already out, but only the first chapter. No further details were given as to when another chapter will be out.

Death Note

A quick rundown about Death Note, is it’s about a straight A high school student named Light who stumbles upon a book with only the words Death Note written on the cover of it. There are rules to it and rule number one is “the human whose name is written in this note shall die.” Of course Light doesn’t believe it at first, but then tests it out and sees what it really does. Light takes matters into his own hands to make the world a better place by killing off bad guys. Unfortunately, others don’t believe in the justice Light sees.

So, first off there isn’t another add on to the Manga, but the Anime will now be out on Blu-Ray and the quality of it looks amazing. Differences were shown between the original and HD versions, but VizMedia is happy to announce that it’s coming to Blu-Ray. What you’ll be getting with the Blu-Ray is all 37 episodes plus both movies.

Tokyo Ghoul

Tokyo Ghoul is set in an alternate reality where ghouls, individuals who can only survive by eating human flesh, live among the normal humans in secret, hiding their true nature to evade pursuit from the authorities. The main character Ken Kaneki is a college student and the first half human half ghoul. In order to survive, he must eat human flesh. He must learn to live with being half ghoul and fitting in with the other ghouls and keep his identity as a ghoul secret from other humans. VizMedia was happy to announce that volume 6 will be up for pre-order very soon.

One Punch Man

The easiest way to explain One Punch Man is that the main protagonist, Saitama is a strong hero who beats all of his opponents with one punch. Saitama does go out and find stronger opponents that can challenge him unlike the rest. VizMedia showed off the very first trailer today for the Anime and it was pretty funny considering I haven’t read the Manga or watched the 12 episode Anime.

Hunter Hunter

Hunter Hunter is one of the Anime announcements that VizMedia had and that was mention of volume 32 is coming out soon. A small clip was shown with two out of three characters explaining two different ways to be a hunter to the main character Gon.

Terra Formars

Terra Formars is only a Manga now, but VizMedia announced that it will be out on DVD and Blu-Ray soon. The plot behind the Manga is scientists sent out modified algae and cockroach corpses who will be spreading that algae across Mars. Many years later, six humans go to Mars, but are attacked by the mutant cockroaches who have incredible strength.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventures

I’ve never heard of this Manga before, but it’s very popular in Japan, but VizMedia will be adding JoJo’s Bizarre Adventures to its streaming line up soon. It will start streaming in April and will be based on the Manga. A brief summary of the Manga is a family whose various members discover they are destined to take down supernatural foes using unique powers that they find they possess. The Manga is split between the family members (8 books) following each member.

If you’re pretty happy with what VizMedia announced, then you’ll definitely be keeping up to date with all this. I will for a few, that much I know. With these announcements, what are you looking forward to? Let us know by leaving your comment down below, or on Google +, Facebook, or Twitter.
