Robert Downey Jr. and Omaze are teaming back up as the ultimate superhero and sidekick duo to bring an extremely lucky person and their extremely lucky friend a spectacular night in New York with RDJ.
The superhero part: The winner and a guest get to hit NYC with RDJ on May 5th, first getting tickets to see him on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, followed up by an exclusive screening of Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War before the worldwide release date. At some point there will be a stop for pizza and the winner will also get to join RDJ for a photo shoot. Totally serious. Well, not the photo shoot.
The sidekick part: Omaze doesn’t just take your money and run. They put all of the funds raised toward a good cause. Last time they teamed up with RDJ it went to Julia’s House, a children’s hospice charity. This time RDJ and his wife, Susan, are launching their own charity called Random Act Funding and it’s intended to distribute kindness in the form of financial aid at local, national, and global levels. The benefiting partners of this specific fundraiser include the Motion Picture & Television Fund, Make-A-Wish foundation, and the Anti-Recidivism Coalition. Backers for this Omaze campaign will be ‘founding members’ of the Downey’s charity.
Donation amounts range from $10 to $25,000 and each dollar gives ten entries to win the big prize. Campaign perks are as follows:
