Chinese smartphone Manufacturer LeEco have announced three new Android smartphones earlier this week and while none of the three have a headphone jack, one of the handsets has 6GB of RAM. Yes, 6GB of RAM is now a thing and Samsung was not first to put that amount of RAM in their devices. There are two mid range devices and one high end, but all three come with some pretty decent specs on paper.

Starting off with the high end device, the LeEco Le Max 2. This phone will come with a 5.7 inch 2560 x 1440 display, a Snapdragon 820 SoC, 4 or 6GB of RAM, 32 or 64GB of internal storage with no mention of being expandable, a 21 megapixel rear facing camera with OIS and 8 megapixel for the front facing shooter. The battery is set to 3,100mAh, and the phone offers a fingerprint sensor on the back under the camera. Nowhere on the device is the 3.5mm headphone jack, but instead USB Type C ports will be used for listening to music or videos through headphones.

Next up is the LeEco Le 2 Pro with a 5.5 inch 1920 x 1080 display, a deca core MediaTek X25 SoC, 32GB of internal storage, 4GB of RAM, 3,000mAh battery, and the same 21 megapixel/8 megapixel cameras as the Le Max 2. A fingerprint scanner is also included. Last out of the three phones is the LeEco Le 2 with a 5.5 inch 1920 x 1080 display, another deca core SoC from MediaTek, but the X20 version. The rear facing camera is set to 16 megapixels while the front is set to 8 megapixels. Again, a fingerprint scanner is included. Internal storage is 32GB while the RAM is set to 3GB and the battery is set at 3,000mAh.

Prices for the phones aren’t bad at all even for the Le Max 2. The price tag for the 6GB RAM model is 2,499 yuan ($386USD), the while the Max 2 4GB model is priced at 2,099 yuan ($324USD). The Le Pro 2 is 1,499($232USD), and the Le 2 is 1,099 yuan ($170USD).

None of these phones seem to come off like they wouldn’t be able to handle day to day use or even heavy usage, but all we can do is wait until the phones get put to the test.
