TrackR Partners With Ekster For Trackable Smart Wallets

|

TrackR, the company that creates intelligent tracking devices and applications, has announced a partnership with Ekster to create smart wallets which are small, trackable, and feature secure RFID-blocking technology.

The Ekster smart wallets feature quick card access, a slim design, a tracker to help you locate it when you’ve forgotten where you’ve placed it, a phone finder button, removable strap, and RFID/NFC blocking technology to protect your cards from wireless skimming and data theft.

“When a wallet is as small as the Ekster smart wallets, it makes it easier to misplace. That is why we chose to embed TrackR’s market leading technology into our wallets,” says Ekster co-founder Oliver Momma.

The smart wallets are available in two varieties: the Ekster Senate cardholder which holds 5 cards, and is available in Black, Coffee Brown Cognac, or Steel Blue with or without tracker functionality; and the Ekster Parliament which is a leather bi-fold wallet that offers RFID protection for 5 cards and holds up to an additional 7 cards and also includes a main cash pocket, hidden coin pocket, integrated tracker, and more.

The partnership is part of the Works with TrackR platform, a complete SDK and partnership platform that allows companies to tap into TrackR’s Crowd GPS network to locate items around the world.

“The Works with TrackR platform is a big step towards no longer having to attempt to remember where items are, but having computers remember where every item is located for us,” says TrackR CEO, Chris Herbert.

The Ekster smart wallets are available now on Indiegogo and start at $99 for the Senate model and $109 for the Parliament model which is available in Black, Coffee Brown, Cognac, or Steel Blue leather.
