Telltale Games gave us a brief glimpse of The Walking Dead Third Season yesterday afternoon, the game series based on the zombie apocalypse comic series by Robert Kirkman. And when I say brief glimpse, I mean brief without a hole lot of information, but there is plenty of
Clementine, the main character from the first two seasons, now has a new companion — Javier. As you saw in the teaser above, Javier mentions marked zombies, and if you were paying attention you’ll notice that Clem has lost part of her finger. Aside from that, as previously mentioned, the teaser is pretty light on details.
Telltale has filled us in a bit however, and mentions that The Walking Dead Third Season is a new story as much as it is a continuation of the first two seasons and new players to the series will be able to jump right in without missing much. On the other hand, those who have followed Clem through the first two seasons will find deeper meaning throughout the game, and save file decisions will be carried over from the previous season.
In the third season, you’ll play as both Clem and Javier, but Telltale isn’t revealing exactly how that will work at this time. Clem has grown up a bit, she’s now in her early teens after growing up and developing her survival skills in the first two season, and is very capable of handling herself.
Telltale promises more info and details as we get closer to The Walking Dead Third Season launch later this fall.
