Evodesk XE caters its standing desk to gamers

Standing desks are becoming more popular in offices across the country and Evodesk makes some great ones. Now the company is putting its eye on the gaming community with the Evodesk XE standing desk. The Evodesk XE desktop is finished with EvoGuard — a unique, baked-on powder coating with a solvent-free finish that makes the mousepad obsolete. Other gamer-friendly features include the strength to safely hold and lift up to three monitors, a clean, modern aesthetic, and the option to add a customized Deskshield protective skin printed with your favorite graphic. Starting at $399, the XE transforms your desk into a gamer-friendly station with instant, smooth transitions between ergonomic sitting and standing positions. Features include:

  • Ability to mount your monitor to the lifting column, or sit your monitor on the platform (supports single, double and triple monitor setups)
  • Weighs only 40 lbs, making it much more portable than heavier manual versions
  • Lifts up to 100lbs at the touch of a button
  • Takes just 10 minutes to assemble
  • Made from eco-friendly bamboo, rubberwood, or recycled wood composite
  • Safer than competing products with mechanical scissor frames
  • 5 year warranty

The benefit of standing desks is up for debate. There are some who swear by standing desks, others who denounce standing desks and yet others who think there should be a balance between sitting and standing. I use a standing desk at work myself and I find it to be very helpful. I don’t game on PC but the Evodesk XE looks like it should be great for any gamer who thinks they may want to stand whilst playing Overwatch.

Are you a gamer? Is the Evodesk XE something you think you would use? Do gamers even like to stand when gaming? Let us know your thoughts and comments below or hit us up on Twitter, Facebook and Google+.
