Leave it to Ryan Reynolds and company to creatively drop the Deadpool Number Two teaser poster on the internet. But wait a minute, is this the official teaser poster? Apparently not. Rather, it is a fan-made poster which Reynolds gave his stamp of approval via his Instagram share. While Reynolds and crew had nothing to do with the poster, the internet took a collective breath in hopes that it was the real deal — especially seeing as it was shared by Deadpool himself. In the end it’s nothing more than a super fan who has some talent and extra time on their hands. Nothing wrong with that.
As you can see the artist, Mutant101, preserved the toilet humor Deadpool is known for by poking fun at Wolverine and the X-Men by defacing a handicap restroom sign. Nothing about this is politically correct, yet if anyone could then Deadpool would be the one to get away with it.
There has been no official word as to when we might actually see a Deadpool sequel but I like the idea of Deadpool Number Two. The success of the first movie is most certainly going to bring a second and the fact that it was the first R rated comic film is spurring on other studios to make R rated comic films.
So, now that we’ve been duped… in a good way, what do you think of this Deadpool Number Two teaser poster? What do you think the second movie should be called? Do you think FOX can bring the same success to the second film it brought in the first? Or will the almighty dollar and men in suits get in the way and stifle the creativity Reynolds and crew enjoyed on the first?
