After being introduced in Marvel’s Jessica Jones, Luke Cage is back and we get an explosive first look courtesy of Netflix and San Diego Comic Con. Mike Colter returns as the former convict with superhuman strength and unbreakable skin to reprise his role as the title character in Marvel’s Luke Cage.

After a sabotaged experiment leaves him with super strength and unbreakable skin, Luke Cage (Mike Colter) becomes a fugitive who attempts to rebuild his life in modern day Harlem, New York City. But soon he is pulled out of the shadows and must fight a battle for the heart of his city – forcing him to confront a past he had tried to bury.

Without further ado, check out the explosive SDCC teaser below as Colter kicks some serious ass as Luke Cage with a side of Ol’ Dirty Bastard.

Marvel’s Luke Cage is also set to star  Mahershala Ali, Alfre Woodard, Simone Missick, Theo Rossi, Frank Whaley, and Sônia Braga, with Rosario Dawson returning as a guest star in her role as Claire Temple.

Not only did Netflix hit us with a dose of Luke Cage, they also dropped a teaser for Marvel’s The Defenders which will see Luke Cage, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist teaming up together. We don’t get much more than a logo reveal, but Nirvana’s “Come As You Are” seems pretty fitting to the imagery in the teaser.
