MESUIT brings Android to your iPhone

If you’re one of the rare users out there that doesn’t hold a loyalty to iOS or Android and like to use both, MESUIT may be for you. Jijia, a Chinese company, has just launched MESUIT which looks like an iPhone battery case but houses much more capability. The case offers expanded battery life, expandable storage capacity and of course the ability to switch to Android on the fly. Android is accessed through an app and Jijia says it supports one-key hot swapping.

MESUIT is the world’s first and only one smart hardware that runs Android OS on iPhones in the form of an app and supports one-key hot swapping. Users can have both iOS and Android OS run simultaneously on one device. It leverages on home device’s dual-SIM, dual-standby features to offer users with simultaneous access to all functionalities of the two types of smartphones. The use of one device also greatly reduces the issues associated with having two smartphones.

But don’t expect pure Android on the MESUIT, the company is of course pushing its own skinned version of the operating system. On a brighter note though, that skinned version is at least Android 6.0 and not an older version. The case will retail for $150 USD for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s version with 1700mAh battery, and $165 USD for the iPhone 6 Plus and iPhone 6s Plus version with a 2500mAh battery.

The case is only on sale in China for the moment and I honestly don’t see this coming to the U.S. anytime soon. While it’s a nifty idea, I’m not sure it will really grab hold very well here in the States. iClarified did get their hands on one and they give a brief demo in the video below.
