Affleck heads stellar cast in The Accountant trailer

The Accountant

Behind the cover of a small-town CPA office, Affleck works as a freelance accountant for some of the world’s most dangerous criminal organizations.

So the description below the video reads like a bad movie — “it is the body count that starts to rise,” but Ben Affleck’s The Accountant doesn’t look all that bad at all. Coming off of Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice, Affleck plays what appears to be a socially inept CPA who’s really working for some really bad people. Many fans disliked Affleck’s Batman performance but I think if they watch the Ultimate Edition they may change their minds. Affleck has certainly grown over the years as an actor but like any actor, not every performance is going to be spot on. Check out the full trailer of The Account below and  check out the film’s website for more information about the movie.

Christian Wolff (Ben Affleck) is a math savant with more affinity for numbers than people. Behind the cover of a small-town CPA office, he works as a freelance accountant for some of the world’s most dangerous criminal organizations. With the Treasury Department’s Crime Enforcement Division, run by Ray King (J.K. Simmons), starting to close in, Christian takes on a legitimate client: a state-of-the-art robotics company where an accounting clerk (Anna Kendrick) has discovered a discrepancy involving millions of dollars. But as Christian uncooks the books and gets closer to the truth, it is the body count that starts to rise.

Jon Bernthal’s performance is one I’m intrigued to see as his performance in The Punisher on Netflix is choice. Other big names in the movie include Jon Lithgow and Anna Kendrick, both whom are really awesome actors. J.K. Simmons is also in this film and he’s also been in countless awesome movies, usually as a supporting actor.
