The Lenovo Y27f Curved Gaming Monitor is available now for $400.

Curved gaming displays aren’t anything new to the market, but this one in particular is. AMD has let it be known that Lenovo has come out with a curved gaming monitor with AMD FreeSync, and the name of said monitor is the Lenovo Y27f Curved Gaming Monitor. Some name Lenovo, some name.

If you’re not familiar with AMD FreeSync, let me provide you a quick crash course on what it is.

AMD FreeSync™ technology is an AMD effort to leverage industry standards, like DisplayPort Adaptive-Sync, to deliver dynamic refresh rates. Dynamic refresh rates synchronize the refresh rate of a compatible monitor to the framerate of a user’s AMD Radeon™ graphics to maximally reduce input latency and reduce or fully eliminate stuttering/juddering/tearing during gaming and video playback.

So, having AMD FreeSync in a monitor and using an AMD graphics card, everything plays well together. The monitor is 27 inches with a max resolution of 1920 x 1080 and those that aren’t looking to get into anything higher than full HD will be just happy with this guy right here. Going in to more specs on the Y27f, the refresh rate is 144Hz, so any game that can go up to 1080p will run just fine. The contrast ratio is 3000:1 with a 178 degree viewing angle, four millisecond response time, one HDMI 1.4 port, one DisplayPort 1.2 connector, a USB 3.0 hub, and it’ll work with Windows 7 up to Window 10. If you’re looking to get this gaming monitor, the price is $400, which may not seem too bad for some people.

Features and specifications of the monitor include:

  • 27-inch VA FHD Wide TFT LCD WLED backlit curved panel
