With season 7 of The Walking Dead still a couple months away, the question remains: who dies in The Walking Dead season 7 premiere? For those following the show, we finally got our first look at Negan in the final episode of season 6, and his trusty barbed wire bat Lucille. Of course the episode ended with viewers left wondering who was on the receiving end of that bat — Rick, Carl, Daryl, Michonne, Glenn, Maggie, Abraham, Sasha, Aaron, Rosita, or Eugene.
While many theories abound, including one that has us seeing the demise of Glenn if the comic books are any indication, AMC’s Walking Dead just released a new scene from season 7 which may just tease who in fact was at the receiving end of Lucille.

If the clip is any indication, it may not be Glenn who was getting bashed at the end of season 6 after all, but instead… Daryl!?! The clip above shows Dwight — one of Negan’s crew who has had a pretty hostile rivalry with Daryl — not only riding Daryl’s motorcycle, but also wearing his famous winged leather vest. Say it ain’t so, but surely there’s another explanation!
