iPhone vs Galaxy S: A timeline comparison of innovation

Android / iOS / Mobile

Apple and Samsung have squared off for smartphone supremacy since the Galaxy S first launched back in 2010.

There’s no question that Apple changed the mobile device game with the original iPhone back in 2007, but Samsung responded with the Galaxy S series — albeit 3 years later in 2010. Since then there have been fanboys on both sides of the fence claiming that Apple does this better or Samsung invented this first, but either way consumers win in the end as both companies have innovated and adopted innovations from the other.

Versus.com, a site that compares basically everything from universities to smartphones sent us over an interesting infographic in anticipation of the new iPhone 7 release. The infographic they created takes a look back and depicts a historic comparison of the iPhone and Samsung Galaxy S series. With the release of the iPhone 7 just around the corner, and the recent problems plaguing Samsung’s latest launch with the Note7 recall, it’s definitely an interesting look back at almost 10 years of smartphone history between two giants.
