Rocket League heads under the sea in October

Psyonix has announced its free new underwater-themed arena for Rocket League coming in October — “AquaDome.” Two premium aquatic-themed DLC Battle-Cars, Proteus and Triton, will also launch simultaneously with the stadium and will be priced at USD $1.99 per car.

Hot on the heels of the recent Rocket League “Rumble” update which brought some wacky and fun modifiers to the game, AquaDome will be available in both casual and competitive playlists. The AquaDome arena is a transparent glass dome hidden at the bottom of the ocean, teeming with aquatic life, including jellyfish, great white sharks, and more.

In case you haven’t been paying attention, Rocket League pits two teams of Battle-Cars against each other in a futuristic Sports-Action game, in which players are equipped with booster-rigged vehicles for a high-octane re-imagining of football. Psyonix has been constantly adding new arenas and new modes since its launch just over a year ago.
