iQunix Edin review: A solid MacBook Pro stand

Work space is valuable when you have a million things going on and a very limited desktop environment. Many people no longer use a desktop or small form factor towers that take more vertical space than horizontal space. Instead, the main computing machines for many people have become laptops which have the versatility to be portable as well as being stationary on a desk or table. Many of these laptop users find it convenient to run a larger monitor from their laptop leaving the laptop on the desk to take up valuable horizontal space. The iQunix Edin aims to free up that space to give you more area to work. Read our full review of the iQunix Edin MacBook Pro/MacBook Air stand.

Design

While the name does invoke that this product is for Apple’s MacBook’s, I dare say that this can probably be used with a lot of PC’s and Chromebooks too. The design is sleek and finished and very much in the way of the Apple design. The whole thing is one solid piece of aluminum, and it is decently heavy. The bottom has a nice rubber foot that will keep the stand from sliding around on your desk and keep the laptop secure. The top is made up of two pieces with a tension knob that adjusts to fit the laptop perfectly. Both pieces are also lined with that rubber material providing good grip. Overall the design is pretty straightforward, but the materials and construction are top notch.

Ease of Use

Easily adjust the tension knob to slide your laptop in and tighten it down to secure it in place. Very simple to use.

Performance

The iQunix Edin does exactly what it advertises to do and holds your laptop perfectly still without too much effort, freeing up valuable space on your desk.

Price/Value

At $39.99 it’s not cheap, but it is a solid piece of aluminum and built to last, I think the value is there.

Wrap Up

A great little laptop stand that looks great and will last a long time.
