If you just bought an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus and realized there was no headphone jack then you’ve been living under a rock. It’s been well documented since before its release that the headphone jack on Apple’s new devices was going away. One company is trying to soften the blow and earn your hard earned cash in return. The Fuze case is not only a headphone jack but an extended battery case as well. The Fuze Indiegogo campaign video is actually pretty funny so take a look below real quick.

Fuze restores 3.5mm audio jack for iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. It delivers a doubled battery life as well as scratch and shock protection, all while maintaining the iPhone’s compact profile. We need your help to bring back the jack. When you purchase Fuze, you purchase the freedom of choice. Buy a Fuze case for your iPhone 7 or 7 Plus and bring back the jack. Don’t get tangled up in a mess of adapters. You should be able to listen to music with your favorite headphones whenever you want. When you purchase Fuze, you’re purchasing the freedom of choice — something that itself should be free.

The removal of the headphone jack is indeed a controversial one, and if you’re on the side of keeping it, this might be a great solution. While I can appreciate the company’s idea here, having reviewed many of these types of cases I will give them a suggestion or two. Consider the material used for construction, yes people want their headphone jack back but don’t take away the beauty of their device with gaudy materials and design. Also, reconsider your branding blazed across the back of the thing, subtle branding goes a long way, people don’t want to be your billboard.
