Dude walks into an Apple Store and starts smashing iPhones

File this one under random stuff people do. Some dude in France walks into the Apple Store (no this isn’t the start of a bad joke) and starts smashing iPhones with a metal ball for no apparent reason. Now I’m sure everyone has wanted to start smashing iPhones at some point in their life because, why not? But this guy actually went through with his desire and calmly walked into the store and started smashing away, he even came prepared with a glove so as not to cut himself. Check out the video below.

While this all seems random the guy did have a reason for smashing all those iPhones. Apparently he was refused a refund when he tried to return an Apple product he purchased. This refusal of refund to him was a violation of his rights so he went ahead and voiced his displeasure in a way he felt would be noticed. Well, I think he’s being noticed. The man is speaking in French but there is a translation of what he is saying below.

“Apple is a company that ‘violated’ European consumers’ rights,” the customer shouted, according to another shopper. “They refused to reimburse me, I told them: ‘Give me my money back’. They said no. So you know what’s happening? This is happening!” French newspaper Le Bien Public reports that the incident happened shortly before 1 p.m. on Thursday in an Apple Store in Dijon.

While I am sure we’ve all been swindle by one company or another, it’s probably not a great idea to start smashing stuff up. There’s probably better ways to get your point across and less dangerous ways as well. What do you think of this guy’s vigilante justice against Apple and its iPhones?
