Google Pixel watchers rejoice, full specs of both Google Pixel phones have been revealed then taken down. Carphone Warehouse either mistakenly or purposely posted all the specs of the new Google flagships on their website over the weekend. The website has since taken down the page but the information is already out there and burning up the interwebs. We know we’re a day late in reporting these leaks but we know not everyone reads tech news over the weekend either. So here we go, let’s talk a bit about what both Google Pixel phones are packing.

The Pixel will sport a 5″ screen and the Pixel XL a 5.5″ screen 1920×1080 and 2560×1440 respectively. Both Pixels will have Qualcomm’s newest Snapdragon 821 processor and 4GB of RAM. Storage configurations are 32GB and 128GB respectively and Carphone Warehouse also lists microSD card support, which is curious since Google’s Nexus line usually omitted this feature. If there is indeed a microSD slot then many people will be very pleased with that.

The rear cameras on both Pixels will sit at 12MP and we’re speculating that HTC’s camera software will make its way into these as well. The front cameras on both will be 8MP and again, could carry some of HTC’s camera technology, like OIS both front and rear. Fingerprint scanners will be on the rear of both devices, just like all the leaked photos have shown. USB Type-C will of course be on board with fast charging and the Pixel will have a 2,770mAh battery and the XL will house a 3,450mAh battery. Of course Google’s latest Android version (7.1) will be shipping on this.

Google’s big event is tomorrow and you’ll finally get to see the newest Android flagship and get full confirmation of specs. This phone is highly anticipated by Android fans as this seems to be Google’s real move into chasing the consumer market. The Nexus line of phones tended to be more developer and enthusiast focused while Google Pixel seems to be focusing on attracting the real world consumer. Pricing for the Pixels isn’t official but it is thought to start at $649 for the Pixel 32GB.
