Black Mirror, an anthology series created by Charlie Brooker that often features episodes about the unanticipated consequences of new technologies, has finally received a proper trailer for its third season. Often referred to as a modern day Twilight Zone, the “black mirror” refers to “the one you’ll find on every wall, on every desk, in the palm of every hand: the cold, shiny screen of a TV, a monitor, a smartphone.” The show was recently picked up by Netflix and will be presented in two 6-episode parts for a complete third season.

Check out the trailer below, word of warning there are a couple NSFW words in it.

I have to admit I haven’t seen any of the previous Black Mirror episodes before, but this trailer certainly piqued my interest and you can be assured this one will be added to my binge watching list.

Black Mirror is an anthology series that taps into our collective unease with the modern world, with each stand-alone episode a sharp, suspenseful tale exploring themes of contemporary techno-paranoia. Without questioning it, technology has transformed all aspects of our lives; in every home; on every desk; in every palm – a plasma screen; a monitor; a Smartphone – a Black Mirror reflecting our 21st Century existence back at us. The series is created and written by Charlie Brooker, and executive produced by Brooker and Annabel Jones.
